Need to shabby up your blog? Heard of Shabbyblogs?

I noticed a very cute shabby button on Rebekah Grace- The Practically Perfect Princess blog-  http://www.practicallyperfectprincess.com/  and clicked on it. There I was directed to Shabbyblogs!
This was the pretty button (as you can see posted on my blog)- just click on it and it'll take you there!

Here's the link: http://shabbyblogs.com/ in case it doesn't direct you there.
As you can see when you go there, I have used some of their wonderful buttons in my blog decor. I wish I could use more and am so jealous! Simply download or copy and paste html, you can even copy and paste the pics too if it's easier for you.

Discovering this wonderful blog made me think, what other amazing blog decor sites are out there! So I googled and found this one:  http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com Where I found this pretty above. There are more and they are awesome! If I had the time and the talent, I would be doing more ,but it takes little to please me and grabbing a button or two is fun enough for me! These are shared for free taking and a very kind share indeed. I could not enjoy their talented pretty little buttons without returning the same kindness in return. Shabbyblogs does have logos to post about them and please do so if you are picking buttons that doesn't advertise them. The kindness will come back ten fold for doing so. :0) What is even wonderful is using their buttons has also brought a little creativity out of me.

Both my blogs have been redone :0) Nothing super wow, but I'm pretty proud of them...te..he...
Check out my Wordpress one: http://adduling.wordpress.com/ see, I had fun!

If you've found some other wonderful shabby chic freebie blogs, please do post a comment and share them! If you liked Shabbyblog's beautiful shabby chic items, they also have a blogspot blog with more free buttons, turtorials, get to know the talented ladies behind them and more!
Link:  http://shabbyblogsblog.blogspot.com/

My last pretty share:

Have a shabby chic blog redesign day!

P.S. Like my signature, wanna get your own? Go here: http://www.mylivesignature.com/mls_wizard1_6n.php

From there it will let you choose font, form, size and slope. (Make sure you keep your background as transparent) When your finished under the tweet bird it will ask you three questions, push the use this signature. From there you have two choices, Html or BB, I used HTML. It will then give you the code to copy and past on your blog! FAvorite the link so you can always go there and use it!

I was nominated for the Liebster Award!!!

I was nominated for this award by Jen & Niki, authors of a wonderful Children's book called Rebekah Grace- The Practically Perfect Princessa
Of course I'll share the link:to their book  - http://amzn.to/JMkLK4
And you have to check out their wonderful blog as well! -http://www.practicallyperfectprincess.com/

The nomination in their own words:
If you are not familiar with the Liebster Award it is given to fairly new blogs with 200 or less followers. This is a way of giving recognition to bloggers for a job well done. It brings undiscovered blogs to the light and helps them gain exposure to attract more followers. If you receive a Liebster the person giving it to you is basically saying, "Hey, YOU ROCK!"

Aww, shucks...they think I rock! Awesome!

Do you want to nominate a blog? Here are the parameters :

1.  First you need to thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.

2. You must link back to the blogger who presented the award to you.

3. Copy and paste the blog award on your blog.

4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs you think deserve some recognition. Remember they have to have 200 followers or less when presented with a Liebster!

Have you heard of the Cancer Climber Association?

I was going along my Twitter followers list to thank my new wonderful followers and came across the name Sean Swarner @seanswarner. I like to get to know my followers and click on the links to their blogs or books. I read his little blurb under his profile and had to click his link below. I was then directed to his website and learned about his amazing story and about his Cancer Climber Association.

Cancer Climber Association

The Cancer Climber Association (CCA) offers hope through inspiration. Our mission is to help those touched by cancer by focusing on living an active, healthy lifestyle.

CCA will serve its mission through inspirational stories, adventure grants, a mobile camp, and personal visits to patients by survivors. CCA was founded in 2001 by two-time terminal cancer survivor and elite mountaineer, Sean Swarner and his brother Seth, CCA is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado.
(This is what it says on the website- http://cancerclimber.org/home.php )

Here is a bit about Sean Swarner and his story:

Sean was diagnosed with two different and unrelated forms of cancer, once at the age of thirteen and again at the age of sixteen. Despite a prognosis of just fourteen days to live and having been read his last rights, Sean astounded the medical community when he survived both these brutal diseases.Sean realized that after defeating cancer twice, no challenge would ever be too great, no peak too high.

He went on to climb Mt. Everest with only partial fuction of his lungs! This man is an inspiration to all and does just that. He visits hospitals and inspires others with cancer, to fight for life and to know that it is possible to defeat Cancer. He is now preparing to go on a Kilimanjaro expedition and you can too! He is offering a package price to take this 6 day expedition & 5 day safari and Wow! It looks fun and challenging (but not too bad)! $500 dollars of your package price goes to support Cancer Climber. So what a great deal, you get to walk away with quite an experienceof a lifetime (that trust me not many get to brag about)and contibute towards the support of a wonderful cause.

Check out Sean's site and learn more about Cancer Climber Association. Not many of us can afford an amazing trip like this now, but we can contribute something. A small donation, a share and even just words of encouragment can do alot. Maybe just using his example in our lives,by visiting local cancer patients can be our give. I love these kinds of stories and the wonderful people who give us these stories to tell. Thank you Sean Swarner for you inspiring example and have fun at Kilimanjaro!

Looking for FREE Kindle Reads for you kid? Here are a few...

I just recently purchased a Kindle fire and love it. Ebooks have become the next step in technology. There is convience to them. You can sit at home and shop for them. You can buy as many as you like and they all fit on a device small enough to fit in your purse or book bag. There are also FREE ebooks. We like FREE and can always can afford that. Now how to find these FREE Kindle ebooks?
If just case you have not purchased a Kindle for your child and are debating the pros and cons of getting one, check out these links:
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/need-to-know/the-daily-need/should-every-kid-get-a-kindle/3533/

http://wifitablets.net/kindle/kindle-for-kids

Having a Kindle I like getting FREE reads, as an author I see the benifits for authors giving them away FREE. I am familiar with Amazon's KDP FREE promo service. I use it and love it. Helps me to find readers and helps readers find me. Now that kids are jumping in on the fun, they and their parents are looking for FREE reads for them too. So where do you look? Wouldn't it be easy to go somewhere and have a list of convience just as convient as the Kindle is?

I thought this. Why because I had just published my Children's book- Molly Woodhaven- Stories of her Experiences & other Extraordinary Experiences

and had no idea where to promote. I knew where for the big boy/girl books, but for the way younger generation, I had not a clue. If I had trouble finding this, I wondered would readers have trouble too. Now that my kids have a Kindle of their own (to leave mine alone) I wanted to add some books to their Kindle library and wanted a straight shot to get there. Not everybody knows everything about the internet and where to go and how to get there.

It is a vast universe. So why not a list, even a short one helps! Here are three pretty helpful ones I found and hopefully it's useful to you. If you find another source, please post, appreciate it!

Pixel of Ink Young Edition- http://youngedition.pixelofink.com/

Amazon's Listmania!- http://www.amazon.com/gp/community-content-search/results?ie=UTF8&flatten=1&search-alias=rp-listmania&query=free
I typed Free at the top, but you can change around, this was to get you directly there.

eReaderIQ.com- http://www.ereaderiq.com/free/ This sends you to all the free books, you can scroll or do an advanced search.

Here is a link to my Children's book that happens to be free today and tomorrow (April 14 & 15th) to get you started. http://amzn.to/IXvSN4

Thanks for dropping by and Happy FREE reading!

Amazon KDP- 7 Year Old Author Evan Moss and His Success Story

As a self-published author, I live on Amazon. Not only am I working with the KDP select that is offered to us self-publishing aspiring authors, it is also a place to purchase books and read interesting articles that are spotted on the main page. Today I noticed something very interesting. Evan Moss's Success Story.

This 7 year old boy sufferes from siezures, very violent ones. Obtaining a seizure dog would do wonders for this little guy, but we all know it comes at a price. Read this wonderful article here: http://amzn.to/HxuC5Y and see how he cleverly solved his problem!

Toys in the Turtle Tank

My wonderful almost four year old son Sawyer "Monster" decided to share with the turtles yesterday. He shared Woody, his cars and some other fun toys with his older brother's two turtles "Mr. Nibbles" and "Herbie". You know events like this just don't happen on a daily occurance and a picture is warranted. Her is my pic, you can see Mr. Nibbles happily playing.

I am sure he was thanking his friend Sawyer for the nice gesture along with reminding him less is more.

Thank you Sawyer for sharing with the turtles and entertaining Mommy and Daddy.
